Let’s face it, most of us want skin that looks fresh, even and healthy. Whether you are dealing with acne, pigmentation, dullness or the early signs of ageing, it can sometimes feel like you have tried every product under the sun with little to show for it. That is where chemical facial skin peels come in.
At The Aesthetics Club, we offer a range of peels that do more than just exfoliate. They actually encourage your skin to renew itself, revealing smoother, clearer and brighter skin underneath. And no, they are not scary. In fact, most of them are pretty gentle and have very little downtime.
What Is a Chemical Facial Skin Peel?
In simple terms, a chemical peel is a treatment that removes the top layers of dead or damaged skin. This encourages your skin to produce new cells, improving texture, tone and overall clarity. Depending on the strength of the peel, it can work on everything from surface-level dullness to deeper issues like pigmentation, acne or fine lines.
Not all peels are created equal though. At The Aesthetics Club, we offer a curated selection of peels that work for different skin types, tones and concerns. Whether you are completely new to skin treatments or looking for something more intensive, we can guide you to the right one.
Starting Light: Our Salicylic Acid Peel
If you are new to peels or want something that will refresh your skin without much downtime, our salicylic acid peel is a great starting point. It is one of our most popular lighter peels and ideal for those struggling with acne or oily skin.
Salicylic acid works by unclogging pores and preventing breakouts. It is a beta-hydroxy acid, which means it can get deep into pores and clear them out. It also helps reduce inflammation and control oil production. You might feel a light tingle during the treatment, but it is completely manageable. Afterward, your skin will look clearer and feel smoother, often with minimal peeling.
Thanks to our collaboration with Obagi, we are also able to offer the Blue Radiance Peel, a salicylic-based treatment with a proven track record for improving skin clarity. It is brilliant for breakouts and generally refreshing your skin.
For Darker Skin types of for those who want general refreshing: The bright & even peel by PCA
Not every skin type reacts the same way to acids, especially darker or more sensitive skin. That is why we love the bright & even Peel by PCA. This one is made with lactic acid (from milk) and mandelic acid (from almonds). It is gentle but effective, helping with superficial pigmentation and overall skin brightness. Also including a retinol blend to increase cell turnover and calming ingredients such as milk thistle and silymarin to ensure that you have a calm enjoyable experience during your peeling stage.
This peel is suitable for most skin types and a great option if you are dealing with uneven skin tone or want a more radiant glow. It is one of the key treatments in our clinic and perfect for anyone who wants to even out their complexion without going too deep.
Pigment correct peel by PCA
Pigmentation can be stubborn and using the correct chemical blend here is key to correcting it. Whilst also utilising mandelic and lactic acid, our pigment correct peel also incorporates pigment correcting ingredients such as pyruvic acid and tranexamic acid. These ingredients help lift pigment to the surface and also prevent the formation of new pigmentation.
This peel is very calming whilst providing optimal results in tackling pigmentation. Just like the brightening peel it is suitable for most skin types and perfect for those who do not want a deep peel to correct their skin concerns.

The Perfect Peel: For More Stubborn Concerns
Now if you are dealing with more stubborn issues like deep pigmentation, acne scarring or generally tired skin, the Perfect Peel might be the one for you. This is a medium-depth peel that goes deeper into the dermis and uses a blend of alpha and beta-hydroxy acids, along with brightening ingredients.
It is a stronger treatment and results can be seen after just one session. However, it does come with a bit more downtime. You may start peeling after two days and healing can take up to two weeks. Don’t worry though, we provide a full home-care protocol to guide you through those five post-peel days.
The results speak for themselves. This peel leaves your skin looking clearer, more even and noticeably rejuvenated. It is a fantastic option if you are ready to tackle tougher skin concerns head-on.
Why Get a Chemical Peel in the First Place?
So now that you know a bit more about the peels we offer, you might still be wondering what the real benefits are. Here are a few of the main ones:
· Smoother texture: Peels remove dead skin cells and encourage fresh, smooth skin to take their place
· Clearer complexion: They help unclog pores, reduce oil and fight acne-causing bacteria
· Even skin tone: Peels are great for reducing pigmentation, dark spots and sun damage
· Brighter skin: By removing dull surface layers, your skin naturally looks more radiant
· Anti-ageing benefits: Regular peeling encourages collagen production and reduces fine lines
