What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a new anti-ageing technique to help keep the skin looking youthful and healthy. A technique that involves rolling thousands of small needles over the skin, causing tiny punctures to the upper layer of the skin. This causes the production of collagen as the skin begins to rejuvenate and recover.

Needling has been used for generations but advances in technology means it has become a more comforting and popular treatment.  We now use a Dermapen for our needling practice which makes it a smoother and more effective procedure.

At The Aesthetics Club, we have sourced some of the best serums in the UK to use alongside our needling practice.  Serums are not always absorbed effectively due to the skin barrier function.  Using serums with needling allows the needles to slightly break the skin and push them into the dermal layer, where they can have maximal effect.  We have a variety of serums for different skin types which our practitioner will discuss with yourself.

What areas can be treated?

  • fine lines and wrinkles

  • loose skin

  • poor skin texture

  • stretch marks

  • hyper-pigmentation

  • alopecia (hair loss)

How long does it last?

Microneedling benefits vary per patient and its efficacy varies based on the patient's skin type. Typically a single session can promote healthy skin for the following 3-6 months.  Three sessions can have significant benefits for up to a year.

Microneedling has very little downtime and has become a popular treatment of choice.  Due to the effectiveness of microneedling and its chemical-free process many clients have found it favourable.  Rest assured, numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment.

Note: Microneedling treatment will be supplied after a consultation with the practitioner has been completed.

A minimum of 3 microneedling sessions are usually required to achieve optimum results, spaced 3-4 weeks apart

Price: From £150 per session
